Landis+Gyr to attend SmartCity Expo Curitiba

Curitiba, Brazil 26 February 2018 – Landis+Gyr (LAND.SW) will participate in Smart City’s Expo Curitiba 2018 from February 28 to March 1 2018, at the Expo Renault Barigui.

At the Landis+Gyr stand, the company will present Gridstream® Connect, – a next-generation IoT platform for utility, consumer and smart city applications – which was announced in January at DistribuTECH 2018 in San Antonio, Texas.

Gridstream Connect is built to seamlessly and securely integrate smart devices using a variety of communication protocols and vendors. This enables utilities to push sensor technology to the grid edge for smart community and smart home applications, while preparing for changing distribution strategies.

“Utility companies are implementing Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) to leverage smart grids and data for distribution automation, demand management and utility consumer interactions. Another important step in the development of a truly smart city is creating the capability to connect to sensors of all kinds that can run autonomous applications,” said Marcelo Machado, CEO of Landis+Gyr for South America.

In addition to the display, Landis+Gyr will also present the lecture on “Monitoring Centers of Smart Networks,” which will occur during the Sustainable Cities session: mobility and energy as a driver of change.
